Hailing from the darkest, dankest depths of Portland Oregon's fecund metal scene, These Cursed Hands synthesizes the best elements of death metal, progressive metal, black metal, and hardcore to create a sound that is uniquely epic and brutal, making them a mainstay at metal shows throughout the pacific northwest. Von-Aldrynne Eslava's ferocious vocals, Travis Cody's heart-pounding drums, Wes Griswold's murderous riffage, and Danny Hettum's soul-crushing low-end come together to captivate listeners with their particular brand of brutality.

Beginning with their debut EP "Drowning In Fire", These Cursed Hands has sought to eschew traditional metal genre labels and draw influence from across the metal spectrum to create a sound that is novel yet also familiar. With their sophomore EP "Intelligent [RE]design" they further refined this sound, creating a concept EP that explored themes of human extinction and species replacement. The EP was well recieved, with the song and music video for "Perihelion" being featured in Decibel Magazine as well as other publications. Other tracks from the EP were also featured in various online outlets like the Harsh Vocal Podcast. Now These Cursed Hands looks to the future with plans to release their first full-length album "Solvite Infernum" in mid-2026.

As a live act, These Cursed Hands is well known in the local scene for their riveting performances, and their dynamic stage show has mesmerized audiences all over Portland. They have opened for popular national touring bands like Crypta, Great American Ghost, and Green Jelly and have even taken their particular band of auditory mayhem on tour throughout the Pacific Northwest. They are also regulars on the regional festival scene with multiple appearances at Winterfest as well as both the Washington and Oregon Deathfests, and now as we speak they are planning further forays throughout the west coast to bring the curse to the masses.
